Language Quest in a Storm

Unfortunately for us, storm Ali hit Lapwing Lodge today so many of our activities were indoors. We didn’t let that stop our fun though!

We started the day with waffles for breakfast and another great warm-up from Ben. Then we headed to our morning language projects. There was amazing French celebrity film-making, outstanding comic creation and cookery once again. We had lots of fun and learned lots.

After lunch, we had our Language Quest. There were stations around the centre where the mentors set us logic, language and team challenges. We had to cross toxic rivers using island, build mystery towers, manoeuvre balls into coloured holes and even find words hidden all over. All our groups collected coins and it was very close – with only one coin separating each group. The winners enjoyed their Haribo!

Then, due to the weather calling off our forest activity, we got the chance to relax in our comfy clothes with our duvets and watch an amazing French film all about naughty children. We even got popcorn!

After our indoor barbecue dinner, we got ready for our party. Then, we danced the night away with lots of singing, games and even some limbo. We loved celebrating our time at camp and we are all sad it’s our last night. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone waiting for us at school tomorrow!
