Tourism in Helensburgh

This morning’s lesson focused on tourism in Scotland. The language groups all focused on key grammar points to include in the afternoon project – a tourist video convincing people to visit the town of Helensburgh. By the end of the lessons, we had finished scripts.

After a delicious German lunch, we headed out into the town to film. The groups went all over the town talking about you can do, see and eat here. Some of the ideas were very creative. Helensburgh even has its own mummy now and the car garage has become a tourist attraction!

After our fantastic videos were finished, everyone had a choice between a craft activity making some paper mache animals or learning how to play American football with Kelli. It was lots of fun!

As it was German day, we had Schnitzel and chips for dinner which was delicious. Then we headed to the forest for Zombie Apocalypse. All the mentors were zombies and the campers had to find objects such as a cure and walkie talkies around the play zone in order to win and turn their zombified friends back into humans. It was so much fun and everyone is still talking about it!

Everyone is now tucked up in bed and we have another active day in store for tomorrow!
