Singing, Highland games and lots of tears.

Today was the final day of our bilingual camp and we had a great time. We started the day with a full Scottish breakfast and morning yoga warm-up. Then we had song-writing classes where songs were produced and recorded with new lyrics to everything from Justin Bieber to John Lennon. They are absolutely brilliant!

Writing songs all about our week at camp.

Then we could choose between football, fitness, yoga and meditation or art before our delicious afternoon tea. There was Irn Bru for the Spanish campers to try and delicious cakes! Then, it was time to get outdoors!

After lunch we had a Highland Games where there were 3-legged races, wheelbarrow races and a tug-of-war but everyone was already in tears that the Scottish campers would be leaving.

Tug-of-war. The girls are stronger!

They were so sad! It is so lovely that everyone has bonded and got to know one another so well.

Tears and hugs as the Scottish campers prepare to leave.

The Spanish campers have been calling their new Scottish friends all afternoon and are missing them so much. So are we! They waved goodbye to their new best friends.

Waving goodbye to their new friends.

We had a lovely dinner of roast beef and Yorkshire puddings. We even had apple pie for dessert. Then, we had a film night with popcorn to relax before tomorrow’s early wake-up to get to the airport on time. We will be so sad to see our Spanish campers go home too. Hopefully we’ll see everyone soon on another one of our programmes!
