A full day at Articulate

Wow, what a day!

Yesterday, the campers from Spain arrived and visited Edinburgh. This morning we were joined by their new friends from Glasgow. All 40 campers have had a full day of fun and language learning.

We started the day with some team-building to get to know one another better. We skied on a field, untangled a human knot and learned lots about one another through toilet paper! There were lots of activities and it was lots of fun.

For lunch we had delicious baked potatoes, salad and sandwiches. Yum!

This afternoon we had a language lesson and then made film trailers. We have Despicable Me, James Bond and Pirates of the Caribbean to name but a few. You can see them on our YouTube channel here. Everyone  can’t wait for them to be shown on Saturday! We were really impressed by everyone working together and speaking in the foreign language.

After a tasty pizza dinner, we had some free time. Lots of people played football with Iñigo and there was lots of dancing and singing in the corridor.

For our evening activity, we played egg-streme games. There were lots of mini-challenges to be completed. We had Smartie relays and had Jaffa Cakes on our faces. Some people even peeled bananas with their feet!

How easy is it to peel a banana with your feet? Winning points for their team.

Human hungry hippos. Get those balls into your baskets!

At the end of the night, two of the eggs were well protected with their parachutes and Kara and Iñigo got eggs smashed on their heads. At least their hair will be nice and soft!

Iñigo wasn’t looking forward to an egg on his head.

We can’t wait for more fun tomorrow!
